Remodel Clean Up

It’s easy to overlook plans for site prep and protection. If you plan properly it can have a big effect on your home following the renovation. If you forgot to prep your home from dust and debris here are some easy-to-follow tips to clean up after a renovation.

  • Be patient. Dust WILL resettle.
  • Use an All-Purpose cleaner (EZHack= 50/50 Water & Vinegar w/2 drops dish soap) to clean the difficult spots.
  • Consider a steamer for all tile and wood floors. This will easily remove the dust debris left behind by the construction process.
  • Replace your HVAC filter if you have not yet done so. Maybe even consider having ventilation cleaning if your contractors didn’t take care of this for you.
  • Vacuum everything, then repeat.

Importance of a Clean Environment

Did you know that one small bacteria cell can produce over 8 million cells in less than one day? The average person will spend 87% of their time indoors. So, it is best to love and care for the space you’re in and make sure it is a healthy environment. As we venture into the new year, it has become clear that COVID-19 is not going anywhere, anytime soon.

A clean environment is essential for a healthy home and office space. It is vital for your health and that of your family, friends, and coworkers. With the help of regular deep cleanings, crawlers (baby’s) stay healthy and germ-free, as there are a vast number of germs on the floor. Senior Citizens and others with compromised health issues are able to live in a germ-free environment.

Regular cleanings can reduce the stress and provide a healthier outlook in your work environment. This increases productivity by reducing the sick time that may be caused by an unhealthy environment and encourages employees to be less distracted as they feel more comfortable and relaxed in the work environment.

Cleaning Ninjas are a skillful, experienced, and efficient way to positively transform your health and life. Every time you eat or drink, you are either feeding a disease or fighting it. Freshen Your Stove Top

Has your gas stovetop seen better days? Don’t fret, we can help with your next deep clean! To get your stove looking brand new again just follow these simple steps.

Stovetop Grates

The first step in cleaning your gas stovetop is to remove the grates. These grates are durable, but they do get spills and other residue burnt onto them every time you use the stove. Over time, this buildup can become thicker and thicker depending on the length of time between deep cleans. To clean your grates quickly, soak them in hot, soapy water. While they are soaking, mix baking soda with a bit of water to create a thick, paste. Remove the grates from the water and cover them with this paste allowing them to sit for about 20-minutes. Scrub the residue with a sponge and rinse with water to clean it off.

Mind The Fuel Ports

Remove the burner caps and add them to the bucket of hot, soapy water. Examine your fuel ports and make sure all holes are open and free of debris.

Cleaning The Surface

First, wipe down the surface to remove all unstuck debris. Then, using a soapy sponge gently wipe down the surface. Once your surface is clean, wipe it down with a dry cloth. Then, replace your burner tops and grates.

Show Your Shower Doors Who Is Sensei

Glass shower doors add a modern touch to your bathroom. The downside of these sleek shower doors is that hard water stains and soap scum will be on full display for guests to see if you are not diligent! Keeping shower doors clean is less about technique and more about using the right products. For the showers pictured above, we would begin by spraying CLR and allowing the spray to soak on the door. We then recommend using a “Magic Eraser” to remove the grime. If this process doesn’t seem to be doing the trick, try rinsing and scrubbing the shower doors with Comet. While keeping the doors extremely wet, use a razor blade to remove the grime. Now that your doors are looking refreshed, it’s time to focus on the track for the doors. We recommend spraying bleach into the grooves of the tracks and allowing it to soak for 5-10 minutes. Following the soaking period, scrub the track with a tile brush or even an old toothbrush.

It is important to remember that hard water stains and grime build up over time. Regularly cleaning your shower doors will improve the condition of the door, but it is possible that your doors may never be completely restored to their original glory. So, don’t worry or think you’re doing something wrong if your shower doors don’t look brand new after you’ve cleaned them.

Stovetop Need A Deep Clean?

Glass-top stoves can make your kitchen look sleek and modern. They also never require owners to clean or replace drip pans or burner grates, but if you are the proud owner of one of these stovetops, you’ve noticed that every spill or splatter is much more noticeable. Here are some tips on how to clean your glass stovetop so that you can keep your kitchen looking its best, and before you get started, here is what you’ll need!

  • Baking Soda
  • Spray Bottle of distilled white vinegar
  • Microfiber cloths
  • Bucket of hot water

Before you set out to make your stovetop look brand new again, keep these tips in mind!

  1. Never clean your glass stovetop when it is still hot.
  2. Harsh or abrasive cleaners can scratch your stovetop.
  3. Never use scouring pads or scrub brushes, as they could scratch your stovetop. Stick to microfiber towels or sponges. Razor blades can be used in extremely burnt on situations.

To clean a dirty glass stovetop, follow these easy steps, and your stove will look brand new in no time!

  1. Once the stovetop is cool, generously spray the surface with the distilled white vinegar.
  2. Liberally sprinkle baking soda over the vinegar.
  3. Dip your clean towel in hot water, wring out any excess water.
  4. Place the towel over the mixture of vinegar and baking soda.
  5. Let the mixture and towel sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the towel and wipe away the remaining vinegar and baking soda mixture with the microfiber cloth.
  7. Spray the surface with vinegar again and use a clean microfiber cloth to buff any remaining streaks out.
  8. Repeat step 7 for any leftover residue.

If you find yourself with tougher burnt-on rings, then we recommend using a razor blade to remove the gunk. When used properly, a razor blade can be your glass-top stove’s best friend.

You’ll need:

  • A razor blade in a holder or scraper tool
  • Spray bottle of distilled white vinegar
  • A microfiber cloth
  1. Make sure the surface is cool.
  2. Spray any affected areas with vinegar to soften the burnt-on residue. Ensure the surface is soaked very well when using the razor blade. The more water (or vinegar) used will help decrease the chance of damaging the surface while using the razor blade.
  3. Scrape the residue gently with the razor. It is essential to hold the blade properly: Do not use the corners of the blade, or you may scratch your stovetop! Try to hold the sharp edge at a slight angle from the top of the stove. It should be as flat as possible.
  4. Wipe away the remaining residue with a clean microfiber cloth.
  5. Repeat the above steps as necessary.

Do You Have Tough Water Stains?

A trick for removing water stains without damaging the surface you’re looking to clean:

What You’ll Need:

  1. Microfiber towels are best or a small thin towel.
  2. Distilled white vinegar
  3. Baking Soda
  4. A small tile brush or toothbrush

Process
Spray the affected area with the vinegar.
Mix 1 part vinegar and 3 parts baking soda into a paste and apply with the brush scrubbing all affected areas. Soak the towel with the vinegar and pack tightly around stained areas. Spray with a spray bottle so the cloth is saturated. Let sit for as long as you can (at least 30 mins, 1 hour is best). Remove the towels and scrub stains away with the brush. Rinse with water.

*For harder, longer-lasting stains, it may be necessary to let the saturated rag sit on the affected area for longer.
